NEW YEAR Fast.jpg

As we begin the new year, we are collectively committing to fast and pray to dedicate 2026 to Jesus and His purpose in our lives. Fasting is an essential biblical practice that allows us to give focused attention to God as a means to build intimacy and provide clarity. This 3-day fast will provide the opportunity to turn the page from the past, listen to God’s voice, and commit to His purpose for 2026.

Our fast begins following dinner on Monday, January 5 and concludes with dinner on Thursday, January 8

The Concept of Fasting

Fasting is simply going without food for a set period of time for a spiritual purpose. The goal is to go without food for these 3 days in order to focus our time and attention in prayer. If you are unable to participate in a complete fast due to health limitations, consider fasting a meal each day, or whatever is considered appropriate for your current condition. Make sure to drink plenty of liquids during the fast. Fasting is not about starving ourselves, but consecrating our minds, hearts, and bodies to the Lord as we look forward to the new year.
